  1. Thanks Allen. Very helpful. But how would I get the menu to be positioned with the white feature container and maintain the full width of the grey header?

  2. question; i got the header outside of the container but once the screen goes below tablet size the menu no longer works. Any advise or solutions would be great appreciated.

  3. Allan!  Another great tutorial!!  As a noob, I have learned tons from your vids.

However, as a responsible child-themer (again, thanks for your teachings on child themes), I think there is one important concept (I think) that needs to be clarified:  how should the header.php file be renamed and called when placed into the child theme directory?  (WP breaks when copying header.php into the child theme directory, and when the header is moved out of the container.)

Specifically, I have custom page templates that need the header freed from its container, as you instructed, but no way will I jack with the core header.php file.

    Please advise.  Thanks!!
