So first off, I’d like to show you the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. Essentially, WordPress.com is a way to set up a free blog on WordPress’ online platform. As you can see here on their home page, we have a form to fill in your blog subdomain and then the “Create website” button over here. This is actually one of biggest downsides to using the WordPress.com platform. While it’s free to start, you have to upgrade it to get a lot of the best features like your domain name, new themes, installing certain plugins and total freedom to do what you like with your blog.
