  2. Why do people listen to Matt Cutts? He is on the payroll of a company that spent 16 billion on data centres in the second quarter of 2014.

Plus billions more of satellites … and other stuff we really don't need (like google glass).

Seriously…If I sold treasure maps… would you listen to me as to where the treasure was?

The real secret to seo after you tick all boxes of "on page seo" is to try and get votes or links to your site from relevant, authority sites.

This is hard to do as you need to either have access to these sites yourself, or you need to speak to people who own such sites and ask them to link back to you. The problem is a link on its own is not good, it needs to be surrounded by good quality relevant content.

Focus on your on improving your page seo, your content and obtaining quality links (votes) becomes easier.

Don't get sucked in by quick fix automatic programs and software… you will get punished eventually.

It's not about quantity …. but quality that counts.
