  1. My WordPress site is not displaying properly and I can't figure out whats going on with it. I do all the updates and eving ran several scans with WordFence with no change. I am sure it has to do with the setting but not sure how to fix it. Help please.

  2. After dying from boredom trying to listen to the droning slow lecture offered by I found your youtube video, thank you so much for making it concise and going through it at a fast, relevant and non boring rate… seem to think that by talking slowly and being ultra boring you will learn.. All you will do is fall asleep!!

  3. Hello Mike, I can't find enough words to thank you for your time vested in making these videos available. Finally I have found what I have been looking for. I haven't seen all your videos yet however I am curious about selling and how to get into accepting payments, what would that process entail and also advertisements from other companies if it comes to that, will I be able to do that or must I share my profits of ads with WordPress…?

  4. HI Mike,
I started backwards creating my blog and now i am a bit lost. I created word press and I have a unique domain name… but how do I purchase it? Go daddy and hostgator says its already taken (and thats by me of course). I just want to know how to make sure that its mines and no one can bid or take it from me.

  5. Hello Mike-  I was able to build my very own website just like you promised!   It is live and up… I am having some issues with a few widgets, I am a lil confused and sure that you can help me, can you email me for assistance at

  6. Many thanks Mike. When I clicked on to your video tutorial my knowledge level was Zero. Your calm relaxed presentation improved my know how made me realize I can master this in time.

  7. this is the third website I built but the first time I've used webstarts. So far it's been a good experience I just hope they get some better slideshow options.

    Webstarts, com

  8. Hi Mike, your videos have been very helpful. I do have a question. I have been having difficulty sub items under my categories and I have followed the directions on the tutorial. Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

  9. I spent all day price comparing and even looking into yahoo hosting and domains. I spent an hour on hold waiting for yahoo sales. I pictured an abandoned building with a single phone that just keeps people on hold for infinity. So I search the internet to find another yahoo phone number, I found one, I called it, then the recording suggested I call another phone number, so I do that and then the recording actually says it can't help me and it suggests that I call another phone number, so I do that and I don't even know what the recording was talking about, it made no sense at all so I finally gave it up and said to myself that there is no way I am signing up for Yahoo domain and hosting, what a joke.

I did call Host Gator customer support before signing up and somebody picked up within about 5 minutes, I explained that I was just calling to see if they really do have customer support, he was very polite. I researched a geek site where they post negative things people say about hosting services and you are right, you never know what may happen in the future. A service can be good for a number of years then become lousy. A person should keep domain names separate from the host.

I racked my brain trying to decide between go daddy and name cheap, I wish you hadn't given me a choice, my life would have been easier. My conclusion was to go with namecheap. They never gave me any indication that the free privacy guard will eventually be charged for, but if it does like you say go up $3 then that will still be lower than go daddy. I just hope NameCheap is reliable.

What all this boils down to is that with all of my exhaustive research I should have just done exactly what you told me to do.

I am done for today. My next step tomorrow is to download Word Press. I never knew that could be used to make websites.
