Schema.org markup code is something that shouldn’t be over looked, it’s recognized by major search engines including Google, Bing and Yahoo.

This video tutorial will show you how I add product and service reviews to my wordpress self hosted sites using Schema markup code.

  1. Hello Craig – first Raven is fantastic so I'd imagine their plugins would rock to.  Will be testing.  Do have a couple of questions about schema first though.  Do you do this on any and every page or post or just designate to specific pages or posts?  Obviously this will affect click through rates but does it affect your organic ranking position themselves for your experience?  Finally, with the changes in Google Authorship is this part of the technique as valuable as it used to be as I understand images don't appear in Google anymore?  Thanks for your help.  Great video.

  2. Hi Craig,

I'm not clear on where exactly to place the code. I have a WordPress site and I already have the schema code. Can I skip the plugin? Do I put the code inside the html tag of the page where I want the stars to appear in the search results?

  3. Anyway, nice post.. gave ya a thumbs up on it. Sometimes I run around in circles trying to find the best plugin for what I need.. good to see a video of someone doing exactly what you need done, what plugin to use, and how to use it.

  4. You can get this to work on the homepage, but you have to make sure that the schema review code only appears on the homepage, so placing in a widget or something wouldn't work.
Without seeing the site and what you're trying to achieve it's hard to give advice.
