  1. What about an all out alternative to the WordPress and Joomla comparison. Sometimes we get a little bit caught up on fix budget. Growing the mind set of free is better. In reality free comes most of the time with out support and have to paying for third party plugins and. That why my company choose centralpoint by Oxcyon. Right out the box it comes with 230 modules to get you started. You don't have to worry about support cause it is there save you time. Feel free to blog or build whatever

  2. This is totally bullshit, WordPress is way better!! WP has more user, more plugins, more people developing plugin and theme and everything else to wordpress..

  3. If you're just going to try to substitute for WordPress' functions why not just install WordPress and be done with it? Honestly, this was a good video but I could've expected which one came out as best, having to stare at your joomla dev website for a while.

  4. doesn't matter how popular wordpress has gotten & that their system has become more robust than the 1st few versions, there is still tons of extensions & templates & support for joomla & it's going nowhere. yes it might be trickier to setup good seo on it, but once it's done, it's done & people then just use it like wordpress & just add/edit/remove articles, pages, blogs, menus, etc. also, if you want better blogging on joomla, use K2. heck you can even merge a port of WP inside of joomla.

  6. I'm a long time user of Joomla and WordPress and I think you're vastly underestimating the vesitlity of WordPress. WordPress is very much capable of producing great professional websites, not just blogs.

  11. Im sending you PM. Comment box too short for my answer…

In short, use the tool you are more comfortable with. Plain HTML/CSS is fine (fast and secure). WordPress is great for blogging and regular sites. Drupal is great for everything (Sure some say is more difficult to learn, but once you get how it works you can create websites in few hours). Just stay out of Joomla! 😉

P.S. I have a 5 years proffesional expirience with Joomla and i would choose Drupal over Joomla anytime!

  12. I'm building a simple site, it won't require any php and so far I've done it without using any cms, just in Sublime and other text editors. What I don't get yet is how using a cms helps. Would it be stupid of me not to use one?

And why are you switching from Joomla? (I suppose you would recommend WordPress to me?) It isn't really a blog site though.
